GREAT HELP FOR CRIME WRITERS

This book is a great introduction to the subject. Having tried to read various texts, including the official Murder Investigation Manual, this book explains the whole process from the crime scene and forensic evidence, to the investigation by the police (with a very helpful Running Homicide case that runs throughout the book) to the court in a very easy to understand way that, though there may be more in-depth books available, did what it said on the tin. I wanted to do some research for a crime novel I'm writing and this was is perfect for a would-be writer to make sure they have all the facts they need to avoid any glaring errors. Put simply, if you're looking for a clear, understandable guide to the extremely complex process of murder investigation in the UK, this is the best I've ever seen and a great help to fledgling UK crime writers, hence the maximum marks.
